Flea Market, Rowing in Central Park, Making Burgers and There’s a Cat on That Man’s Head!
Okay so this is quite a late update for me. Usually I aim for the first few days of the week so I apologise! I guess I’m working myself too hard these days. What’s that all about eh?!
Anyway, to start things off on Saturday I tried something that youmay do when you come to New York and that is go to a flea market. I went to a flea market in a place called “Hell’s Kitchen”, which is sort of west midtown of Manhattan area. A flea market for those of you who don’t know is basically like a car boot sale but on a market stall instead. Everything is second and to be fair I thought it was a bit rubbish. Maybe I’m a bit of a snob and I like my things new, clean and generally smelling nice! I’m glad I went anyway to view the dodgy shoes and jewerelly. I guess it’s possible to find a bargain at these flea markets but generally I don’t like the sorts of things they sell.
Saturday was a nice hot day so we went to Central Park to do a spot of rowing. I’ve never rowed before but I reckon I’m blerdy good at it! It was a nice experience. Rowing in the middle of New York on a nice day. It was very chilled and relatively inexpensive for the hour that we were on it. Check out the picture of where I rowed just to make everyone as jealous as possible!
I for the first time ever tried my hand at cooking burgers and they were good. I took a picture for evidence as nobody was in the apartment to see them so check it out. You’ll love to try my burgers. I think I’ll definitely need to give this another go sometime soon. If you’re lucky I’ll make you a burger!
Okay to finish this late blog off I want to share a photo of a man with a cat on his head. This man is quite well known around New York for being a bit strange, basically because why would you have a cat on your head and how do you train your cat to sit on your head. As you can see in the picture the man is posing for pictures so he definitely loves the attention. Maybe that’s what I should do to get some attention around here. I’ll turn up to work with my dog on my head and then we’ll see what they say!
Oh I also went and saw Up in the cinema the other day and it’s really good. I saw it in 3D which was great. I definitely recommend it if you haven’t seen it already!
