Ellen Stardust, Return to 230 on 5th and a day in the museum…

Right where to begin, so a normal week of work as I get into the swing of things so no use talking about that at the moment, but the week is still going fast and sleep is still hard to come by but that’s normal!

So the enjoyment begins on Friday night after I had to be in work whilst everyone at home has the bank holiday weekend off.  We don’t get easter off here but luckily I was given the afternoon off so not all bad in the end!  So back to the enjoyment, and it begins at Ellen Stardust.  Ellen Stardust is just a regular diner on broadway but with a difference, and this is because the staff there are broadway wanabees.  They all sing whilst you eat and to be fair to them they’re all pretty good.  Some better than others but you couldn’t help but feel a bit bad for some of them because they could all sing well but you felt they lacked something that would take them into broadway.  Anyway this was still a good night.  The food wasn’t too bad, I had two hot dogs because they don’t serve single hot dogs there.  Not complaining though!  I took a video which is below take a look!

Next on Friday night I returned to 230 on 5th which is the garden bar on top of that building that I went to on the first week.  Absolutely love this bar with the red gowns and the warm cider with vodka in it.  I had rasberry cider and it was great!  If anyone comes and visits me I will take you to this bar because it is my favourite bar by far and you will love it too and there will be nothing you can do about it.  The place will be awesome come the summer.  The bar is right next to the flatiron building which has a picture below and also a picture of the empire state building at night in the clouds!

Saturday was another busy day.  I went to the museum of Natural History and it reminded me of the film “Night at the Museum” as it was filmed there.  The museum was absolutely packed with them blerdy tourists but hey what can I do about it.  I guess I’m a tourist as well but one that is on a constant holiday!  One of the best things about working for a bank is that you get in to almost all the museums for free and you also go straight to the front of the que.  So there I was flashing my JP Morgan Chase ID around saying let me in I’m important and I can also take three lucky people with me if I let you!  Anyway, the museum was so packed I didn’t really get the chance to do everything like the planetarium but I will definitely be going back soon, as well as visiting the other museums.  Picture of the elephants below ch-ch-check it out…
